Nicole Dome

Nicole’s passion for animal activism began at an early age when she discovered the importance of a plant based lifestyle for ethical reasons at thirteen years old. Threatened and tempted incessantly by society towards conformity, Nicole used the opposition she would receive from others at times to remind herself that she was “onto something” otherwise “they” wouldn’t be so quick to disagree.

Now aware that the brutality envisioned towards animals as a child is often times a fairytale compared to the horror that some must endure, she has most recently focused her efforts on facilitating the rescue of Indian street dogs after adopting two Desi Dogs - Rumi and Sookie, a puppy and a senior - between 2017 and 2018, in addition to her best friend of 13 years, a United States rescued street dog named Link.

By day (and sometimes night) Nicole spends her time working in the entertainment industry, although, she resides far from the city as she feels a stricter calling to nature and seclusion. Within 18 months of pursuing a career in the film industry, Nicole was initiated into a Local Union for her craft where she has been working for over 13 years.

Jen Marquis

Jen knows rescuing and placing homeless animals will be emotional and painful, but the few that find their forever homes, their families, will make all this work worthwhile. Nothing can be said for the joy this will bring any rescuer, to be the voice for these beautiful creatures. Placing homeless, abused and neglected animals is a small portion of what needs to occur. Teaching is the key to all rescue work, especially if you can share your knowledge of caring for an animal, training an animal and also controlling the pet population by sterilization. These will be the first steps in eradication in the homeless pet population.

Jen has been living in the Seattle-Tacoma area since 1991, working as a critical care registered nurse. With hopes to visit India and work in their spay and neuter clinics.
